This wine from Cantina Tollo comes from the vinification of 100% Pecorino grapes. The grapes come from the Denominazione di Origine Controllata area in Abruzzo. The harvest takes place in mid-September. The vinification involves the soft pressing, the clarification of the must and fermentation at a controlled temperature for about 50% in oak barrels and 50% in steel. Aging takes place in oak and steel barrels.
Characteristics of this white wine from Abruzzo
On organoleptic examination, it has a straw-yellow color with greenish reflections. The scent is that of pear, citrus, white peach and almond with an elegant and spicy aftertaste of sage and lavender and mineral notes of flint. The taste is of excellent intensity and concentration of the fruit in balance with the fresh and lively acidity. The finish is long, persistent and with a savory minerality.
