Barolo "Camilla" DOCG is the red wine of Piedmont par excellence. The grapes that produce this wine are 100% Nebbiolo from Barolo, harvested by hand in the cru Camilla, located in Grinzane Cavour in a sunny location about 250 meters above sea level, consisting mainly by young vineyards. The vinification is traditional with a maceration of 12-15 days, followed by aging for 24-30 months in tonneau and 10 months in bottle.
Characteristics of Barolo DOCG
Its color is intense garnet, with orange reflection. The scent is full and intense with notes of violet and dried rose, that give the typical taste of tar, warm and pleasant. The palate is robust, structured and elegant with great persistence.
Recommended pairings while tasting this red wine
Serve in large glasses at a temperature of 18-20°C. Goes well with roasts, braised meats, game and seasoned cheeses.
