The "Costasera" is considered in Valpolicella one of the best slopes, the one facing the sunset with vineyards overlooking the nearby Lake Garda. This splendid Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva DOCG "Costasera" is produced with the union of the typical grapes of the area; the most precious ones of Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta and Molinara, each of which gives its peculiarities to the wine. After the traditional drying, which lasts until February, the grapes are crushed and undergo a fermentation of about 45 days. The wine then matures for 40 months in 600-litre Slavonian oak barrels. A majestic, complex and elegant wine, suitable for long ageing in the cellar. The vinification foresees the use in a different percentage for the Corvina grapes that represent the base and are used for 70% of the blend, to which are added those of Rondinella for 15%, those of Oseleta for 10%, and those of Molinara for 5%.
