The production area of the Chianti dei Colli Senesi Riserva Belsedere wine is delimited by the “Belsedere” vineyard at 235 meters above the sea level. The vines are exposed at North-west and South-east where the grapes are under the sun light during the whole year. The grapes used for this wine are 100% Sangiovese and the wine making process concerns the manual selection and picking of the grapes in addition to a further selection before and after the destemming. It follows a fermentation period in French barrels of 25 liters for 18 months and there finally takes place the bottle refinement which lasts 6 months. The production for hectare is 5 quintals which permits the production of 4000 bottles of the “Bordolese” type.

Characteristics of this Chianti Riserva wine

The red wine Chianti dei Colli Senesi Riserva Belsedere has a ruby red color with a little hint of a more garnet color. The scent reminds the red fruit such as the cherry joined by a spicy aromas which develops in a tobacco and licorice flavor. The taste is full of juicy tannins which are persistent and deep in the palate. It is never excessive in its expression but always balanced, complex and elegant.
