The Barolo Riserva DOCG is the red wine most famous of the piedmont tradition. It is produced by the company Giovanni Manzone which is located in Monforte D’Alba in the Langhe. The great territory, the good altitude and the slope of the vineyards contributes to the production of the greatest quality wines. The grapes are 100% Nebbiolo coming from the cru Gramolere, and they are picked at the first ten days of October. The wine making on peels is for about 21 days, follows 36 months of refinement in barrels of 700 L and it is bottle 60 months after the grape harvest.
The characteristics of Barolo Riserva
Esthetically it has a ruby red color with intense purple reflections. The scent is open and warm with some floral sensation and ripe fruit aromas and a long aftertaste of pepper and nutmeg.
