Extreme attention to detail and few rows: this is how this red wine from Cantina Giustini was born. CALURA is a Red Appassimento born from a blend of Primitivo, Negroamaro w Susumaniello from the vineyards of San Giorgio Ionico, Taranto: the vineyards have an average age of 25-30 years and benefit from medium-textured soils with a good presence of clay. Before being harvested, the grapes are left to wilt on the plant for about 15-20 days by cutting the peduncle. After harvest, maceration and 8-day alcoholic fermentation are carried out using selected yeasts. The final aging phase takes place in French oak barriques for 3 months.
Characteristics of this Salento wine
It has a deep ruby red color. The olfactory profile recalls ripe fruit, strawberry and blackberry jam, tobacco and cocoa. Full on the palate, harmonious and with an enveloping finish.
